Day 3: MAY 18 (SATO) NAGOYA - GIFU

Visit Nagoya Castle

-       Now days castle is also popular ground to meet “OMOTENASHI TAI” = welcome to Nagoya ambassador who is idolized boy group, they dress up in historical characters. Lots of people come to see them perform from all over Japan

Day 4: MAY 19 (SUN) GIFU - MAGOME - TSUMAGO -GIFU

Visit Magome

-       Magome is one of the resting point of ancient road that connect Kyoto and Edo in old days Town still preserve old setting from Edo era

Visit Memorial Hall of Toson

-       Toson Shimazaki is Japanese author and poet who established himself as a major proponent    of naturalism in Japanese fiction

Visit Tsumago, also visit Tsumago honjin

-       Another resting point of nakasendo road in old days. Enjoy stroll in charming old town.       Honjin is the house assigned for high rank samurai or feudal load to stay

Day 5: MAY 20 (MON) GIFU - TAKAYAMA

Enjoy hands on experience making washi Japanese paper in Gokayama

Visit Tooyama House – one of the old traditional house  

Enjoy stroll in Takayama Sanmachi suji street

-        Old style houses lined up both side of the street, charming houses are now turned into stores, coffee shop and restaurants. Some of them sale Japanese seasonings such as soy sauce, miso and sake which is made locally in Takayama

Day 6: MAY 21 (TUE) TAKAYAMA - SHIRAKAWAGO - TAKAYAMA

Visit Miyagawa Morning Market

-       local produce such as vegetables, dried mountain vegetables and etc, is sold here, normally local old ladies are the independent vendors, they enjoy selling things and more so for talking to customers. Small size market along the river is very charming.

Enjoy gondola ride in Shinhodaka – you will see superb view of Japan Alps mountainous range

Lunch at restaurant at Gondola station (menu T.B.A.)

Visit Shirakawago for Gassho zukuri house

 – World heritage site, enjoy stroll in village

Day 7: MAY 22 (WED) TAKAYAMA - NAGOYA

 Visit Miso Park – learn about miso making

Visit Noritake Garden & museum

  -Nagoya origin porcelain maker called “Noritake China”, here you can visit museum, admire

Noritake porcelain at the shop or you can enjoy coffee with Noritake.

Dinner on own – our escort and guide will assist you

Evening time      

Leave hotel for firefly viewing spot with guide by a chartered bus

Arrive at Shinagawa Station

Day 9: MAY 24 (FRI) TOKYO

 Visit NOREN & Ueno station for sumo related display

1.

Deposit and Final Payment:

A $300.00 non-refundable deposit per person will be required at the time of booking.

The remaining balance is due 100 days prior to departure.

If reservation is made less than 100 days prior to departure, full payment is due at time of booking.

If remaining balance of payment is not made within the above-required period of time, JTB USA, Inc. reserves the right to cancel reservations.

 

2.

Cancellations and Changing Fees:  (Please read very carefully)

Regardless of reason, cancellations result in costly charges from travel and hotel providers covering penalties and fees incurred by canceling confirmed bookings. Therefore, the following fees will apply:

 

Cancellation or any changes within:

* Up to 101days of departure                 $300deposit

* 100– 65days of departure                    30% of the total tour fee

*  64 –31 days prior to departure:           50% of the total tour fee

*  30 -15 days prior to departure             75% of the total tour fee

* Within 14 days prior to departure:      100% of the total tour fee

*Any additional individual arrangement may not be refundable. Please check with our travel agents.

 

3.

 Participation:

For the benefit of everyone in your tour group, JTB USA, Inc. reserves the right to accept or reject any person as a tour participant, and to remove from the tour any participant whose conduct is deemed incompatible with the interests of the other participants.

 

We require a minimum of 15 participants to guarantee a tour.

JTB USA, Inc. will notify participants of any changes 100 days prior to departure.

We regret that our escorted tours will operate only when booked by a sufficient number of participants. We reserve the right to cancel any departure date that has insufficient demand. 

 

** There may be a possibility to operate tours with less than 15 participants.

     However, it may require changes from each original tour itinerary and price.

Responsibility:

The tour participant agrees that neither JTB USA, Inc. nor its affiliates shall be liable for any damage, loss (including personal injury, death, and property loss) or expense occasioned by any act or omission of any supplier providing services, or any insurer or insurance administrator under the Travel Protection Plan, or of any other person, or any other situations beyond the control of JTB USA, Inc., including weather, natural disaster, war, civil unrest, and order of government or immigration regulations.

Rules and Restrictions

* Passengers with foreign passports (excluding U.S & Japan) may need to obtain visa from

   Japanese Consulate, please inquire with us before sign up

* Price/Schedule is subject to change by Vendor

* Minimum 15 people are required to guarantee the departure.

* A moderate degree of physical health and Physical ability is required to participate in the tour.

   In the event of special physical or mental needs, JTB USA cannot assume any responsibility in

   relation to the difficulty or impossibility that the said passenger may encounter in undertaking

   the activities planned for the tour, nor JTB USA assume any responsibility for providing

   assistance for their adaption to, or continuation of, the trip.

* JTB USA reserves right to suspend any tour for passengers whose physical and/or mental   

   conditions make their participation very difficult or dangerous to themselves or others.

   JTB USA likewise reserves the right to exclude passengers who significantly disrupt

   the smooth-running of the trip

** If you purchase this package as LAND ONLY please be aware that the Land Only designation includes hotels/meals/and sightseeing only. International and domestic air flights as well as transportation to/from airports are not included.
