Guide

English-speaking guide service (except while on board the bullet train) on Day 2-13(except Day10) and English speaking assistant service at the point of transfer on Day 1, 7 and 8 (Day 13 for the round trip plan).

Baggage

One Way Trip Plan Your baggage will be transported from Hakone to Kyoto on Day 7. Each person will be allowed one piece of baggage. Additional baggage will require an extra fee of JPY 2,200 per item. For overnight stays on Day 7, 11 and 12 we recommend that you carry a light overnight bag. Each person will be allowed one piece of baggage for the seat sharing van from Kyoto to Kansai Airport. Additional baggage will require an extra fee of JPY 1,000 per item. Round Trip Plan Your baggage will be transported from Hakone to Kyoto on Day 7 and from Kyoto to Tokyo on Day 11. Each person will be allowed one piece of baggage. Additional baggage will require an extra fee of JPY 2,200 per item. For overnight stays on Day 7, 11 and 12 we recommend that you carry a light overnight bag.

1.

Public transportation may be used for transfer from Hamamatsucho Station to Tokyo Station on Day 3.

2.

Please note that all seating on the trains is non-reserved seats and that it may not be possible to sit down on Day 4.

3.

Please dress casually and wear shoes comfortable for walking on Day 4.

4.

For operational reasons, your tour guide may not accompany you back to Tokyo after Kamakura Station. In this case, your guide will tell you how to go back to your hotel from Kamakura Station on Day 4.

5.

Because it is extremely hot in the months from July through September, please bring your own soft drink and hat on Day 4.

6.

In some cases, a bus may be used as transportation between Tokyo and Kamakura on Day 4.

7.

Earphone guidance may be used if the number of participants is more than 15 on Day 4. If a tour participant damages or loses an earphone guidance device, he/she may be charged for compensation (JPY 10,000) on Day 4.

(Remarks on Nikko Tours for Day 5)

1. This tour will visit Rinnouji Treasure Museum and Shoyo Garden on days the Tamozawa Imperial Villa is closed. On days the Rinnouji Treasure Museum and Shoyo Garden are closed, this tour will visit the Toshogu Treasure Hall instead.

2. Due to traffic or road conditions, even during times other than the period mentioned above, the tour may visit alternate locations as described in 1. No refunds will be given even if visiting locations are changed.

3. Please dress casually and wear shoes comfortable for walking.

4. We recommend you bring an overcoat or other warm clothing during spring, autumn and winter.

5. Scheduled time for lunch and arrival is subject to change due to the heavy traffic.

6. Earphone guidance may be used if there are more than 15 number of participants.

7. If a tour participant damages or loses an earphone guidance device, he/she may be charged for compensation (JPY 10,000).

(Remarks regarding Mt. Fuji-Hakone Tour for Day 6. )

1. When the Fuji Visitor Center is closed or if the tour is behind schedule due to traffic conditions, the Fuji Visitor Center may be skipped.

2. The road to Mt. Fuji 5th station sometimes closes due to heavy snows in the winter and the early spring. In the case the road closes, or if the tour is expected to fall behind schedule due to operation reasons, you will go to the highest possible point.

3. We recommend you bring a coat or other warm clothing during spring, autumn and winter.

4. We will not cancel or refund your tour if you are unable to see Mt. Fuji due to the weather conditions.

5. Although the Hakone Ropeway and the Owakudani Valley or Pirate Boat may be omitted or substituted for as a result of traffic and weather conditions or other operational reasons, the tour will not be canceled nor will the tour fee be refunded. In the case that one or both of the destinations are omitted, you will enjoy one of the following alternatives: Narukawa Art Museum in Hakone, Hakone Check Point, Cruise on Lake Kawaguchi, Lake Kawaguchi Ropeway, Hakone En Aquarium and Hakone Shrine. Your tour guide will finalize alternatives based upon careful consideration of tour logistics and other conditions.

10.

If the Toyota commemorative Museum is closed, you will visit the Tokugawa Art Museum, Tokugawaen or Noritake no Mori instead on Day 7.

11.

When Mikimoto Pearl Island is closed, the tour will visit the Toba Aquarium or Futamigaura instead on Day8 Chatered cars/coaches may be used for transfer from Nagoya Station to Iseshi Station. A guide will not accompany this transfer Toba Station to Kyoto Station.

12.

As public transportation will be used for transfers on Day 7-8, seats may not be available.

13.

(Remarks regarding Kyoto Mornig Tour and Nara Afternoon Tour for Day 9. )

1. Nijo Castle: On Tuesdays in Jan., Jul., Aug., and Dec., Nijo Castle is closed and you will visit Ryoanji Temple instead.

2. Kyoto Imperial Palace: On Saturdays, Sundays, national holidays and some other days, the Kyoto Imperial Palace is closed and you will visit the Nishi Honganji Temple instead. You are required to fill out a form (your name, sex, age, nationality), when you enter the Kyoto Imperial Palace.

3. Please inform us if your group consists of five or more Japanese people before the tour. If you do not inform us of this information, your party may be refused entry to the Kyoto Imperial Palace.

4. At Kasuga Taisha Shrine, the tour includes the regular areas and does not include entrance to areas requiring admission.

5. If Nara Nagomikan is closed, the tour will visit another souvenir shop.

14.

Please dress casually and wear shoes comfortable for walking and also bring a coat or warm clothes from the chilly month of October to the snowy month of February for Day 11, 12 and 13.

15.

Depending upon traffic, weather conditions, or other operational needs, on Day 11, transfers between Nagoya - Takayama, and Takayama - Kanazawa, may be conducted by private bus.

16.

Visits to Kasukabe Folk Museum and Kami Sannomachi Street on Day 11 may be changed to the following day.

17.

Transfers on Day 12 may be conducted by shared bus. When the former Wada family residence and the Gassho-zukuri Folklore Park are closed, the tour may visit the Nagase Residence or Myozenji Temple instead. 18. For Stays at the Yumoto Fujiya Hotel on Day6, and the Hida Hotel Plaza and Hotel Nikko Kanazawa on Day 11-12, Hotel up grade plans are available at additional fees. (Please contact us.)
