Guide

English-speaking guide service (except while on board the bullet train) on Day 2-7 and English-speaking assistant service at the point of transfer on Day 1, 5 and Day 7 including Day 8 for the round trip plan) is included.

Baggage

One Way Trip Plan Your baggage will be transported from Tokyo to Kyoto on Day 4. Each person will be allowed one piece of baggage. For overnight stays in Hakone, we recommend that you carry a light overnight bag. Additional baggage will require an extra fee of JPY 2,200 per item. Each person will be allowed one piece of baggage for the seat sharing van from Kyoto to Kansai Airport. Additional baggage will require an extra fee of JPY 1,000 per item. Round Trip Plan Your baggage will be transported from Tokyo to Kyoto on Day 4 and from Kyoto to Tokyo on Day 8. Each person will be allowed one piece of baggage. For overnight stays in Hakone, we recommend that you carry a light overnight bag. Additional baggage will require an extra fee of JPY 2,200 per item.

Required When Making Reservations

Arrival and departure flights.

1.

On Day 2, when Happoen Garden is closed, you will visit Meiji Jingu Shrine instead. As overcrowding is predicted during the cherry blossom season (tentative dates: Mar. 31 - Apr. 8), during this time the Sumida River Cruise will be changed to cherry blososm viewing in Sumida Park.

Important Notice
Please note that Happoen Japanese Garden will be closed for renovations Jul 16 - Aug 23, 2013. During this period, Meiji Jingu Shrine will be visited instead. There will be no tea ceremony at Meiji Jingu.

(Remarks on Nikko Tours for Day 3)

1. This tour will visit Rinnouji Treasure Museum and Shoyo Garden on days the Tamozawa Imperial Villa is closed. On days the Rinnouji Treasure Museum and Shoyo Garden are closed, this tour will visit the Toshogu Treasure Hall instead.

2. Due to traffic or road conditions, even during times other than the period mentioned above, the tour may visit alternate locations as described in 1. No refunds will be given even if visiting locations are changed.

3. Please dress casually and wear shoes comfortable for walking.

4. We recommend you bring an overcoat or other warm clothing during spring, autumn and winter.

5. Scheduled time for lunch and arrival is subject to change due to the heavy traffic.

6. Earphone guidance may be used if there are more than 15 number of participants.

7. If a tour participant damages or loses an earphone guidance device, he/she may be charged for compensation (JPY 10,000).

(Remarks on  Mt. Fuji-Hakone Tour for Day 4)

1. When the Fuji Visitor Center is closed or if the tour is behind schedule due to traffic conditions, the Fuji Visitor Center may be skipped.

2. The road to Mt. Fuji 5th station sometimes closes due to heavy snows in the winter and the early spring. In the case the road closes, or if the tour is expected to fall behind schedule due to operation reasons, you will go to the highest possible point.

3. We recommend you bring a coat or other warm clothing during spring, autumn and winter.

4. We will not cancel or refund your tour if you are unable to see Mt. Fuji due to the weather conditions.

5. Although the Hakone Ropeway and the Owakudani Valley or Pirate Boat may be omitted or substituted for as a result of traffic and weather conditions or other operational reasons, the tour will not be canceled nor will the tour fee be refunded. In the case that one or both of the destinations are omitted, you will enjoy one of the following alternatives: Narukawa Art Museum in Hakone, Hakone Check Point, Cruise on Lake Kawaguchi, Lake Kawaguchi Ropeway, Hakone En Aquarium and Hakone Shrine. Your tour guide will finalize alternatives based upon careful consideration of tour logistics and other conditions.

(Remarks on Kyoto Morning Tour for Day 6)

1. Nijo Castle: On Tuesdays in Jan., Jul., Aug., and Dec., Nijo Castle is closed and you will visit Ryoanji Temple instead.

2. Kyoto Imperial Palace: On Saturdays, Sundays, national holidays and some other days, the Kyoto Imperial Palace is closed and you will visit the Nishi Honganji Temple instead. You are required to fill out a form (your name, sex, age, nationality), when you enter the Kyoto Imperial Palace.

3. Please inform us if your group consists of five or more Japanese people before the tour. If you do not inform us of this information, your party may be refused entry to the Kyoto Imperial Palace.

(Remarks on Kyoto Afternoon Tour for Day 6)

1. During the Gion Festival (July 14-16), drop off service to Karasuma Kyoto Hotel, Nikko Princess Kyoto and Hotel Monterey Kyoto is unavailable due to traffic regulations.

2. During the Jidai Festival on October 22, Heian Shrine is closed to the public and will be replaced by Chishaku-in Temple.

3. Pick-up service from the Kyoro Hotel Okura, Karasuma Kyoto Hotel, Hotel Monterey Kyoto, and Nikko Princess Kyoto is not available during the Gion Festival(July 17) and the Jidai Festival(October 22) due to traffic restrictions.

6.

Depending to the number of Participants, transportaion from Hiroshima to Miyajima may be changed to streetcar or train on Day 7.

7.

For stays, at the Yumoto Fujiya Hotel on Day 4, hotel code H1-H8 indicate standard rooms and hotel codes H9-H11 indicate deluxe rooms.
