This combination package combines multiple tours. Enjoy sightseeing around Tokyo, Kyoto, Mt. Fuji and other popular sites in Japan all led by an English-speaking interpreter guide. This attractive tour also includes sightseeing in Kamakura and Hiroshima! Even people who are not used to travelling in Japan will have no problem participating worry-free.

Day 1: Arrival: Tokyo


After arrival in Narita airport, JTB staff will meet you at the customs exit and assist you in boarding a reserved taxi. Then you will go to a hotel in Tokyo.

Day 2: Tokyo


7:05- 7:45 a.m.

Pick up service is available to selected major hotels in Tokyo.

The tour departs from Keio Plaza Hotel Toyo Main Tower 3F, Check-in Counter.

You will visit the following places by seat-in-coach:

* National Diet Building (Drive-by)

- The center of Japan's politics as it is the place where Diet Sessions are held.

*Imperial palace (Drive-by)

- It is the Japan’s imperial family’s residence. 

* Tsukiji Outer Market

- The largest marketplace in Japan, Tsukiji is busy and bustling even before the sun comes up. The items lining the outer market are all for restaurant business as they prepare ingredients for the day's menu.

*On Wednesdays, Sundays, and other days when Tsukiji Outer Market is closed, an alternate destination of Hamarikyu Gardens, Imperial Palace East Gardens, Imperial Palace Plaza Nijubashi Bridge, etc. may be visited instead. Also, this tour will not enter the Tsukiji Inner Market nor be guided to the tuna auctions. 

* Kabukiza (Drive-by)

- Tokyo's famous Kabuki theatre, located in Ginza, Tokyo.

* Tokyo Skytree Town

- The world's highest tower is a major symbol of Tokyo, forming the center of Tokyo Skytree Town, which also encompasses Tokyo Solamachi, a complex that includes many shops and restaurants, as well as an aquarium and planetarium.

*Admission to the Tokyo Skytree® Tembo Deck is not included in the tour booking charge. Before entering, please pay a separate charge of JPY 2,060 for each person age 18 and older, JPY 1,540 for each person age 12~17, JPY 930 for each person age 6~11, and JPY 620 for each person age 4~5. 

* Asakusa kannon temple and Nakamise shopping acade

- The arcade is a 300m approach to the temple. You can enjoy shopping and taking picture in front of a famous lantern lamp named Kaminarimon.

Day 3: Tokyo - Nikko - Tokyo

Nikko Toshogu Shrine  (100 min)
Tour the UNESCO World Heritage Site famous for its lavish decorations, ornate details, and five structures categorized as National Treasures of Japan, and an additional three categorized as Important Cultural Properties. This 400 year old shrine houses the remains of Edo period's founder, Ieyasu Tokugawa. Enjoy seeing the traditional beauty of the main hall, as well as the sleeping cat and 3 monkey carvings.
[Remarks] Yomeimon Gate may be obscured due to restoration work.
 
Lunch
Enjoy a Japanese-style lunch.

Lake Chuzenji  (10 min)
Created by an eruption of Mt. Nantai, this lake is a symbol of Nikko.
 
Kegon Falls  (30 min)
Known as one of Japan's 3 great waterfalls, Kegon Falls towers an impressive 97 meters and gushes water from Lake Chuzenji.
[Remarks] The charge to take the Kegon Falls elevator is not included in the booking price. Admire the waterfall from the front side for free from the observation deck.

Drop-off at Shinjuku
Participants will be dropped off near Shinjuku Station West Exit.
*Please head to your next destination on your own from Shinjuku.
 
 

 

Day 4: Tokyo - Mt.Fuji - Hakone

Hamamatsucho Bus Terminal  (150 min) 
Depart Hamamatsucho Bus Terminal and head to Mt. Fuji by bus.
(Chuo Expressway, or Tomei Expressway).
 
Mt. Fuji 5th Station  (30 min)
Start the ascent up Mt. Fuji via the Fuji Subaru Line. Climb 2,300 meters (7,546 ft) above sea level for breathtaking views from above the clouds.
[Remarks] The tour will not be cancelled or refunded even if Mt. Fuji is not fully visible due to weather conditions.
 
Lunch
Enjoy a Japanese-style lunch.
 
Lake Ashi Cruise  (15 min) 
Go for a sightseeing cruise on Lake Ashi. The crater lake was born from a powerful volcanic eruption nearly 3,000 years ago and provides postcard views of Mt. Fuji from various angles.
 
Mt. Komagatake Ropeway  (50 min) 
Spend a total of 50 minutes including a 7-minute ropeway ride up to the spiritual Hakone Shrine Mototsumiya (original shrine) that nestles at the mountaintop.
[Remarks] Hakone Komagatake Ropeway may be omitted due to heavy traffic. The tour will not be cancelled or refunded for such an itinerary alteration.

Day 5: Hakone - Kyoto - Nara - Kyoto


8:00 - 9:30 a.m.

You'll take the Kodama bullet train from Odawara to Kyoto Station. (180min.)

 

Lunch: Western-style

 

In the afternoon, you'll enjoy sightseeing in Nara. Here's the visiting places:

Todaiji Temple (UNESCO World Heritage site)
- It is one of the largest bronze statue in the world. The Great Buddha is National Treasure.

* Nara park
- It is called “Deer Park” because you can see many deer in the park. There are about 1.100 deer.

Kasuga Taisha shrine (UNESCO World Heritage site)
- It is located in a forest and contains four buildings, all of which are National Treasures.

* Nara Nagomikan

 

6:30 - 7:30 p.m.

After sightseeing in Nara, you'll check in the hotel in Kyoto.

Day 6: Kyoto


8:00 - 8:50 a.m.

We'll pick you up at your hotel in Kyoto. (See the detail on "Pick up" page.)

After assembling at New Miyako Hotel, you'll join a whole day tour of Kyoto-city.

You will enjoy visiting the follwong places:

* Nijo Castle (UNESCO World Heritage site)

- It was built in 1603 as Kyoto residence of the Ieyasu Tokugawa, the fast shogun of the edo government. ***On Tuesdays in January, July, August, and December, Nijo Castle is closed. The tour will visit Ryoanji Temple instead.

* Kinkakuji Temple (UNESCO World Heritage site)
- It is a famous structure of Muromachi period. Kinkakuji means golden pavilion and literally it is covered by gold.

* Kyoto Imperial Palace
- It had been served as the Emperor’s palace until the capital was moved to Tokyo. ***On Monday( and Tuesdays when Monday is a National holiday) we'll takeyou Kitano-tenmangu Shrine instead.

 

Lunch: Japanese/Western style buffet

 

After the lunch, you'll continue to enjoy sightseeing in Kyoto.

Heian Jingu Shrine
- It was built to commemorate the 1,100th anniversary of the founding of Kyoto in 1895.

* Sanjusangendo Temple
- The temple is designed as a national treasure with 1,030 standing Buddhist statues in its main hall.

* Kiyomizudera Temple (UNESCO World Heritage site)
- The temple is famous for its main hall on the cliff top with a board wooden veranda and a panoramic view of Kyoto city.

 

5:30 - 6:30 p.m.

You'll arrive back at hotel in Kyoto.

Day 7: Kyoto - Hiroshima-Kyoto


7:30 - 8:00 a.m.

Meet at New Miyako Hotel in Kyoto. Walk to Kyoto Station.

Then you'll ride either the Nozomi or Hikari bullet train to Hiroshima Station from Kyoto. (110-125min)

After arriving at Hiroshima Station,  we'll depart for Miyajimaguchi by motorcoach.

Then board ferry  to Miyajima (UNESCO World Heritage site) and visit Itsukushima Shrine.

* Miyajima Island and Itsukushima Shrine (UNESCO World Heritage site)

- It is in the Island Sea and the home of Itsukushima Shrine built in 593 with its famed floating torii gate. Also It was designated as a World Heritage by UNESCO.

 

Lunch: Enjoy lunch on your own.

 

After going back to Miyajimaguchi by ship, you will enjoy visiting Hiroshima Peace and Memorial Park/Museum (UNESCO World Heritage site), drive by Atomic Bomb Dome and head to JR Hiroshima Station.

Peace Memorial Park and Atomic-Bomb Dome (UNESCO World Heritage site)
- Hiroshima is the first city suffered by an atomic bombing. The dome, registered as World Cultural Heritage, symbolizes its wishes for everlasting peace.

6:30 - 7:00 p.m.

You'll ride either the Nozomi or Hikari bullet train to Kyoto Station. 

8:20 - 9:00 p.m.

Day 8: Kyoto - Tokyo


Enjoy your free day at your leisure until departure.

 

5:00 - 6:15 p.m.

We will meet you at the hotel and transfer you to Kyoto station by a motorcoach. Then you will ride the Nozomi bullet train to Tokyo station. (140min.)

9:00 - 10:00 p.m.

After arrival in Tokyo, we'll take you to the hotel.

Day 9: Tokyo - Narita Airport


You have free time until departure.(Departure time is announced to your hotel on the day before departure.)

A taxi driver will meet you at your hotel and take you to the Narita airport.

English-speaking guide service included days 2-7 except while on board bullet train. English assistance included at point of transfer on days 1, 5 and 7, and also day 8 for Round Trip Plan.

Baggage

Included for up to one piece of baggage from Tokyo to Kyoto on Day 4 and Kyoto to Tokyo on Day 8. Additional baggage will incur a fee of JPY2,200 per item. Light compact baggage is recommended overnight stays in Hakone on Day4.

[Japan Combination Package]
1. This tour is a combination package made up from multiple Sunrise Tours plans. 
2. An English-speaking interpreter guide or English-speaking assistant will accompany each tour from the meeting point until the tour end. Furthermore, please note that the interpreter guide or assistant is generally different for each tour. 
3. Customers with late-night arrivals or departures at Kansai International Airport may need to wait at the airport for several hours as the shared taxi service will be unavailable. 
4. This is a special tour for international visitors. Please understand that residents of Japan cannot make bookings for this tour. 
5. Airport pick-up & drop-off is available at Haneda Airport or Itami Airport. In such cases, please inform us when booking. 
6. If the minimum number of participants is not met by 20 days prior to the tour date, the tour may be cancelled.

[Luggage Transport Service]
Suitcases and other large pieces of luggage will be sent from hotels in Tokyo on Day 4 to hotels in Kyoto City, and sent back to the hotels in Tokyo on Day 8. (One article of standard size luggage per customer will be transported free of charge. Any additional items will incur a fee of JPY 2,200 per article, which must be paid on the day.) Please bring a smaller bag (backpack, etc.) for the stay at Hakone. On the return trip, luggage will be delivered to Tokyo on the same day that it is sent, but the delivery time cannot be guaranteed.

[Edo Tokyo Tour (Day 2)]
1. Admission to the Tokyo Skytree® Tembo Deck is not included in the tour booking charge. Before entering, please pay a separate charge of JPY 2,060 for each person age 18 and older, JPY 1,540 for each person age 12~17, JPY 930 for each person age 6~11, and JPY 620 for each person age 4~5. 
2. On Wednesdays, Sundays, and other days when Tsukiji Outer Market is closed, an alternate destination of Hamarikyu Gardens, Imperial Palace East Gardens, Imperial Palace Plaza Nijubashi Bridge, etc. may be visited instead. [Nikko Tour (Day 3)]
1. Heavy traffic due to colored leaves is expected every year on Irohazaka Winding Road from Oct. 11 to Nov. 6. Therefore, Kegon Falls and Lake Chuzenji will not be visited during this period. In such cases, one of the following will be visited instead of Kegon Falls: Taiyuuin Mausoleum at Rinno-ji Temple, Futarasan Shrine, Kirifuri Falls, or Tamozawa Imperial Villa. The alternative plan outlined above may be used even outside of the designated period (Oct. 11~Nov. 6) due to road conditions or other reasons. No refunds will be issued as a result of location changes. 
2. The tour will walk up and down steps and hilly paths at Nikko Toshogu Shrine and Kegon Falls. Be sure to wear shoes and clothing which are comfortable to walk in. 
3. An earphone guide will be provided to each participant at Nikko Toshogu Shrine. However, if there are 15 or fewer participants, earphone guides may not be used. 
A fee of JPY 10,000 may be incurred if an earphone guide is lost or damaged by a participant.

4. As the tour uses a bus for the entire itinerary, arrivals at each site may be delayed due to road conditions. 
5. Vegetarian meals, wheat allergy meals, and soy allergy meals must be requested at the time of booking. 
Vegetarian meals are available and must be requested at the time of booking. 
6. Depending on road conditions, the tour may stop at a different parking area (rest area) instead of the Hanyu Parking Area. In this case, please note that the different rest area will not be a representation of an Edo Period town.

[Mt. Fuji & Hakone Tour (Day 4)]
1. Hakone Komagatake Ropeway may be omitted due to heavy traffic. The tour will not be cancelled and refunds will not be issued for this reason. 
2. If the Fuji Subaru Line to Mt. Fuji's 5th station is blocked due to road surface freezing or accidents, the tour will be taken to the highest elevation point possible. No alternative destinations are planned when the tour reaches beyond the 1st station. 
When the tour has to turn back at the 1st station, or when the Fuji Subaru Line is completely blocked, the tour will visit Fuji Visitor Center or Lake Kawaguchi. Please note that an alternative itinerary may also be omitted depending on road conditions. 
3. Due to weather conditions, Mt. Fuji may not be visible even from the base. However, the tour will not be cancelled and refunds will not be given for this reason. 
4. Mt. Fuji's 5th station is typically 10 to 15 degrees Celsius colder than Tokyo. On tours from autumn to spring, please bring a coat and other warm clothing. 
5. If the Lake Ashi Cruise or Komagatake Ropeway are not running due to inclement weather or maintenance, or as a result of events, road or organization circumstances, they may be omitted and replaced with one or more of the following. This will not be used as a reason to cancel the tour, and refunds will not be given for this reason. Hakone-en Aquarium, Hakone Ropeway, Owakudani Valley, Hakone Pirate Ship, Narukawa Art Museum, Hakone Checkpoint, Lake Kawaguchi Cruise, Mt. Kachi Kachi Ropeway, Itchiku Kubota Art Museum, Hakone Shrine, etc.
6. Please note that the tour will not be guided to the seasonal sightseeing spots if the cherry blossoms are not at their best viewing time, or if the tour cannot proceed to Komagatake Ropeway due to road or organization circumstances. 
7. GPS-enabled audio guides are available on this tour in Chinese, Spanish, Italian, Thai, French, and Indonesian. If required, please request at the time of booking. Requests made on the day of the tour will not be accepted. 
8. The annual Mt. Fuji Hill Climb will be held on a weekend in June (schedule for 2018 is yet to be determined). Please be aware that the itinerary order and destinations to be visited are subject to change. Furthermore, please note that refunds will not be issued in this case, and customers will not be notified separately when the schedule has been determined.

[Nara Tour (Day 5)]
1. During the Gion Festival (Sakimatsuri, July 15 - 16), drop-off service to Karasuma Kyoto Hotel and Hotel Nikko Princess Kyoto will be unavailable due to traffic restrictions. 
2. At Kasuga Taisha Shrine, the tour does not include entrance to areas requiring admission. 
3. Nara Nagomikan may be omitted from the itinerary if it is closed on the day of the tour, or as a result of traffic congestion. 
4. Connection to the Kyoto Night Tour or Kyoto Maiko Dinner is not possible.

[Kyoto Tour (Day 6)]
1. The Kyoto Imperial Palace is closed on the following days. As such, the tour will visit Kitano Tenmangu Shrine instead. 
(Mondays, Tuesday if Monday is a national holiday, May 14-17 for the Aoi Festival, New Year's holidays, and whenever there is an Imperial Household event).
2. The tour will visit Nishi Hongan-ji Temple instead of Kitano Tenmangu Shrine on June 25, Sept. 25 and Dec. 25. Nijo Castle is closed on Tuesdays in January, July, August, and December. (Closed on the following day if Tuesday is a holiday.) If closed, or if the tour is during the year-end/New Year's holidays, Ryoan-ji Temple will be visited instead. 
3. During the Jidai Festival on October 22, the Heian Jingu Shrine is closed to the public and will be replaced in the itinerary by Chishaku-in Temple. If the Jidai Festival is postponed, we will follow suit with the itinerary change. 
4. This tour will not enter Heian Jingu Shrine's Shin-en garden. 
5. During the Gion Festival (Sakimatsuri, July 15 - 16), drop-off service to Karasuma Kyoto Hotel and Hotel Nikko Princess Kyoto will be unavailable due to traffic restrictions. 
6. Connections from this tour can be made to the "Kyoto Maiko Dinner" and "Kyoto Night Tour". Connections are generally made at Kyoto Hotel Okura. 
7. Please note that due to repair and restoration work, part or all of the Kiyomizu-dera Temple Main Hall will not be visible.

1. The type of transportation (mini bus, taxi van, taxi, train or other) between Hiroshima and Miyajima will vary depending on the number of participants.

1. When booking, we accept requests for non-smoking rooms, double rooms (depends on hotel), and baby cots (depends on hotel), but please note that fulfillment of such requests is not guaranteed. 
Baby cots may be provided at some facilities for an additional fee. Please confirm the details and pay at the location. 
Also, children sharing beds with adults are limited to 1 child per bed.
