This combination package combines multiple tours. Enjoy sightseeing around Tokyo, Kyoto, Mt. Fuji and other popular sites in Japan all led by an English interpreter guide. Even people who are not used to travelling in Japan will have no problem participating worry-free.

Day 1: Arrival: Tokyo


After arrival in Tokyo, JTB staff will meet you at the customs exit and assist you in boarding a reserved taxi. And then you will check in your hotel.

Day 2: Tokyo

7:05 - 7:45 a.m.

Pick up service is available to selected hotels in Tokyo.

7:50 - 8:00a.m.

The tour will depart from Keio Plaza Hotel Tokyo, you'll enjoy the following places by tour bus.

* National DIet Building (drive-by) - This is the center of the Japanese Government. Don't let the impressive Western-style architecture fool you--this building is constructed almost entirely out of pure Japanese materials.

*Imperial palace (drive-by) - Formerly known as Edo Castle, this palace is the residence of the Emperor of Japan. The grounds are lush with green foliage and provide a relaxing spot for Tokyoites and visitors alike.

*Tsukiji Outer Market Japan’s No.1 place for seafood with over 400 shops including fresh fish retailers, grocers, and restaurants. Enjoy shopping and try some local food while exploring this one-of-a-kind location.

(On Wednesdays, Sundays, and other days when Tsukiji Outer Market is closed, an alternate destination of Hamarikyu Gardens, Imperial Palace East Gardens, Imperial Palace Plaza Nijubashi Bridge, etc. may be visited instead. Also, this tour will not enter the Tsukiji Inner Market nor be guided to the tuna auctions.)

*Kabukiza (drive-by) A classic Japanese-style theater where traditional Kabuki performances are held.

*Tokyo Skytree Town Enjoy freely exploring Tokyo Skytree®, Tokyo Solamachi® which features many traditional Tokyo shops, an aquarium, planetarium, and more.

(Admission to the Tokyo Skytree® Tembo Deck is not included in the tour booking charge. Before entering, please pay a separate charge of JPY 2,060 for each person age 18 and older, JPY 1,540 for each person age 12~17, JPY 930 for each person age 6~11, and JPY 620 for each person age 4~5. )

* Asakusa kannon temple and Nakamise shopping acadeSenso-ji, Tokyo's oldest temple, offers plenty to see including the bright red Kaminarimon Gate, a statue of the god of thunder, and a five-story pagoda. The bustling street known as "Nakamise" stretches for about 250 m from Kaminarimon Gate to Senso-ji Temple and is filled with a plethora of shops. 

12:30 p.m.

Tour ends in Asakusa after enjoying a stroll around.

Enjoy your afternoon free time at your leisure.

Day 3: Tokyo - Mt. Fuji - Hakone - Kyoto

7:50 - 9:00 a.m.

Pick up service is aviailable to selected hotels in Tokyo.

You'll visit Fuji Visitor Center and Mt. Fuji 5th Station in the morning.

*Mt. Fuji - Start the ascent up Mt. Fuji via the Fuji Subaru Line. Climb 2,300 meters (7,546 ft) above sea level for breathtaking views from above the clouds.

Enjoy lunch.

After lunch, ou'll enjoy the following places:

*Lake Ashi Cruise - Go for a sightseeing cruise on Lake Ashi. The crater lake was born from a powerful volcanic eruption nearly 3,000 years ago and provides postcard views of Mt. Fuji from various angles.

*Mt. Komagatake Ropeway - Spend a total of 50 minutes including a 7-minute cableway ride up to the peak from Hakone-en. Discover the spiritual Hakone Shrine Mototsumiya (original shrine) that nestles at the mountaintop.

Then you'll take the Hikari or Kodama bullet train to Kyoto Station. (120-180min.)

9:30 - 11:15 p.m.

Arrive at Kyoto Station. You will be taken by taxi from Kyoto Station toyour hotels. An English-speaking staff member will escort you to the taxi, but will not ride along in the taxi.

You'll check in the hotel in Kyoto.

Day 4: Kyoto - Nara - Kyoto

8:00 - 8:50 a.m.

We'll pick you up at your hotel in Kyoto. (See the detail on "Pick up" page.)

Participants are picked up by bus and taken to Kyoto Avanti. Please be at the meeting location at least 10 minutes before departure. 

You will enjoy visiting the follwong places:

* Nijo Castle (UNESCO World Heritage site)

A World Heritage site. Tour the historical castle completed in 1626, which was built to provide lodging for Tokugawa Shogun and as a palladium for Kyoto Imperial Palace. The impressive, elaborate carvings and decors in the Ninomaru Palace are a must-see.

* Kinkakuji Temple (UNESCO World Heritage site)
-A World Heritage site. The wooden architecture is covered in thin layers of pure gold and is surrounded by a beautiful pond.

* Kyoto Imperial Palace
See the Kyoto Imperial Palace, which was used as the Emperor's residence until about 150 years ago.

*On Mondays (and Tuesdays if a national holiday falls on the preceding Monday), this tour will visit Kitano Tenmangu Shrine instead of the Kyoto Imperial Palace. It is famous for housing the God of scholarship. This shrine's main hall is a designated national treasure. The shrine is especially great to see during the plum blossom and autumn leaf seasons.

Lunch: a Japanese-western-style buffet lunch

 

After the lunch, you will proceed to Nara. Here's the visiting places.

* Todaiji Temple (UNESCO World Heritage site, Great Buddha) / Nara Park
A World Heritage site. This is the symbol of the Nara Period and one of the world's largest wooden structures. Its huge main hall and bronze Great Buddha are impressive to behold.

* Kasuga Taisha shrine (UNESCO World Heritage site)
This Nara Period shrine is designated as a World Heritage Site. The deer of Nara Park are thought to be the shrine messengers.

* Nara Nagomikan

-The largest souvenir shop in Nara. Enjoy yourself in this spacious shop and look for the perfect souvenir.

6:30 - 7:30 p.m.

After sightseeing in Nara, you'll head back to Kyoto.

Day 5: Kyoto - Tokyo

5:15 - 6:10 p.m.

Enjoy your free day at your leisure until departure.

An English-speaking assistant will meet participants at the hotel in Kyoto City at departure time for shuttle service to the station.

5:45 - 7:00p.m.

Then you will ride the Shinkansen train to Tokyo station. (140min.)

9:00 - 10:00 p.m.

After arrival in Tokyo, we'll take you to your hotel by taxi.

Day 6: Tokyo - Narita Airport


Enjoy your free time until departure. (Departure time is announced to your hotel on the day before departure.)

The taxi driver will meet you at the hotel and drop you off at the airport in time for your flight.

This tour is a combination package made up from multiple Sunrise Tours plans. 

2.

An English-speaking interpreter guide or English-speaking assistant will accompany each tour from the meeting point until the tour end. Furthermore, please note that the interpreter guide or assistant is generally different for each tour. 

3.

This is a special tour for international visitors. Please understand that residents of Japan cannot make bookings for this tour. 

4.

 If the minimum number of participants is not met by 14 days before the scheduled date, the tour on that date may be canceled.

5.

[Luggage Transport Service]
Luggage transport service is not included. The amount of space for baggage on trains is limited, so please leave suitcases and other large pieces of luggage at your hotel (A service charge may be required, please check with your hotel). Accordingly, please be sure to select the same hotel in Tokyo for accommodation on Day 1, Day 2, and Day 5.

[Airport Shuttle Service]
Haneda Airport may also be specified for shuttle service on the outbound and return trips. In such cases, please inform us when booking.

[Edo Tokyo Tour (Day 2)]
1. Admission to the Tokyo Skytree® Tembo Deck is not included in the tour booking charge. Before entering, please pay a separate charge of JPY 2,060 for each person age 18 and older, JPY 1,540 for each person age 12~17, JPY 930 for each person age 6~11, and JPY 620 for each person age 4~5. 

2. On Wednesdays, Sundays, and other days when Tsukiji Outer Market is closed, an alternate destination of Hamarikyu Gardens, Imperial Palace East Gardens, Imperial Palace Plaza Nijubashi Bridge, etc. may be visited instead. [Mt. Fuji & Hakone Tour (Day 3)]
1. Hakone Komagatake Ropeway may be omitted due to heavy traffic. The tour will not be cancelled and refunds will not be issued for this reason. 

2. If the Fuji Subaru Line to Mt. Fuji's 5th station is blocked due to road surface freezing or accidents, the tour will be taken to the highest elevation point possible. No alternative destinations are planned when the tour reaches beyond the 1st station. 

When the tour has to turn back at the 1st station, or when the Fuji Subaru Line is completely blocked, the tour will visit Fujisan World Heritage Center or Lake Kawaguchi Oishi Park. Please note that an alternative itinerary may also be omitted depending on road conditions. 

3. Due to weather conditions, Mt. Fuji may not be visible even from the base. However, the tour will not be cancelled and refunds will not be given for this reason. 

4. Mt. Fuji's 5th station is typically 10 to 15 degrees Celsius colder than Tokyo. On tours from autumn to spring, please bring a coat and other warm clothing. 

5. If the Lake Ashi Cruise or Komagatake Ropeway are not running due to inclement weather or maintenance, or as a result of road or organization circumstances, they may be omitted and replaced with one or more of the following:

Hakone-en Aquarium, Hakone Ropeway, Owakudani Valley, Hakone Pirate Ship, Narukawa Art Museum, Hakone Checkpoint, Lake Kawaguchi Cruise, Lake Kawaguchi Ropeway, Itchiku Kubota Art Museum, Hakone Shrine, etc., but this will not be used as a reason to cancel the tour, and refunds will not be given for this reason. 

6. Please note that the tour will not be guided to the seasonal sightseeing spots if the cherry blossoms are not at their best viewing time, or if the tour cannot proceed to Komagatake Ropeway due to road or organization circumstances. 

7. [Only customers staying at Asakusa View Hotel, Courtyard by Marriott Tokyo Ginza Hotel, Hotel Grand Palace, Keio Plaza Hotel Tokyo (Shinjuku), Shiba Park Hotel, or Shinjuku Washington Hotel]

GPS-enabled audio guides are available on this tour in Chinese, Spanish, Italian, Thai, French, and Indonesian. Please make a request when booking. There are a limited number available, so it may not be possible to provide one for each participant. Also, no refunds will be issued even if the audio guide is unusable due to weak signal, device issues, Wi-Fi malfunction, etc. 

8. The arrival time to Kyoto may be considerably delayed depending on road conditions and other factors. The trip from Odawara to Kyoto may require a train transfer midway at Shizuoka Station or Nagoya Station. If so, a staff member will assist participants in transferring. If the tour runs late due to traffic congestion, etc, and misses the scheduled train, transportation from Odawara to Kyoto will use non-reserved seats on the Shinkansen, and participants may not be able to sit down. 

9. On the day when the annual Mt. Fuji Hill Climb is held, which is usually on a weekend in June (schedule for 2018 is yet to be determined), the Fuji Subaru Line is closed until around 14:00. The tour will proceed on this day, and will head to Mt. Fuji 5th Station once the road is open to traffic. Because of this, there will be changes to the itinerary order and sightseeing locations. Please note that the Komagatake Ropeway and Lake Ashi cruise will be changed to alternative itineraries. Furthermore, please note that refunds will not be issued in this case, and customers will not be notified separately when the schedule has been determined. 

9.

[Kyoto & Nara Tour (Day 4)]
1. The Kyoto Imperial Palace is closed on the following days. As such, the tour will visit Kitano Tenmangu Shrine instead. 
(Mondays, Tuesday if Monday is a national holiday, May 14-17 for the Aoi Festival, New Year's holidays, and whenever there is an Imperial Household event).

2. The tour will visit Nishi Hongan-ji Temple instead of Kitano Tenmangu Shrine on June 25, Sept. 25 and Dec. 25. Nijo Castle is closed on Tuesdays in January, July, August, and December. (Closed on the following day if Tuesday is a holiday.) If closed, or if the tour is during the year-end/New Year's holidays, Ryoan-ji Temple will be visited instead. 

3. During the Gion Festival (Sakimatsuri, July 15 - 16), drop-off service to Karasuma Kyoto Hotel and Hotel Nikko Princess Kyoto will be unavailable due to traffic restrictions. 

4. At Kasuga Taisha Shrine, the tour does not include entrance to areas requiring admission. 
5. Nara Nagomikan may be omitted from the itinerary if it is closed on the day of the tour, or as a result of traffic congestion. 
6. Connection to the Kyoto Night Tour or Kyoto Maiko Dinner is not possible.

[Other]
1. When booking, we accept requests for non-smoking rooms, double rooms (depends on hotel), and baby cots (depends on hotel), but please note that fulfillment of such requests is not guaranteed. 
Baby cots may be provided at some facilities for an additional fee. Please confirm the details and pay at the location. 
Also, children sharing beds with adults are limited to 1 child per bed. 

2. The excluded days for each accommodation facility are different than the excluded days for tour operation.
