This combination package combines multiple tours. Enjoy sightseeing around Tokyo, Kyoto, Mt. Fuji and other popular sites in Japan all led by an English interpreter guide. Even people who are not used to travelling in Japan will have no problem participating worry-free.

Day 1: Arrival: Tokyo


After arrival in Tokyo, JTB staff will meet you at the customs exit and assist you in boarding a reserved taxi. And then you will check in your hotel.

Day 2: Tokyo

7:50 - 8:30 a.m.

Pick up service is available to selected hotels in Tokyo.

After assembling at Hamamatsucho Bus Terminal, you'll enjoy the following places:

* Tokyo tower - Get a spectacular view of Metropolitan Tokyo from the observation deck.

*Imperial palace plaza - Admire the view of Nijubashi Bridge and the surrounding scenery at this National Garden that was formerly a private garden of the Royal Family.

* Asakusa kannon temple and Nakamise shopping acade - Of the 33 temples in Eastern Japan dedicated to the Goddess Kannon, this is the only one in the capital (No. 13 on the pilgrimage to all 33 temples). Visit this historic area which includes Nakamise-dori, the street leading to the temple.

* Ueno & Akihabara (drive by) - Enjoy a pleasant drive through Ueno, where Tokyo's first coffee shop once stood, to Akihabara which is home to the famous Electric Town.

Tour ends at Hamamatsucho Bus terminal. After the tour ends, there is no shuttle service to hotels.

Day 3: Tokyo - Mt. Fuji - Hakone - Kyoto

7:50 - 8:30 a.m.

Pick up service is aviailable to selected hotels in Tokyo.

After assembling at Hamamatsucho Bus Terminal, we'll take you to Hakone by motorcoach.

You'll visit Fuji Visitor Center and Mt. Fuji 5th Station in the morning.

*Mt. Fuji - Start the ascent up Mt. Fuji via the Fuji Subaru Line. Climb 2,300 meters (7,546 ft) above sea level for breathtaking views from above the clouds.

Enjoy a Japanese-style lunch.

After lunch, we'll take you to Kojiri and you'll enjoy the following places:

*Lake Ashi Cruise - Go for a sightseeing cruise on Lake Ashi. The crater lake was born from a powerful volcanic eruption nearly 3,000 years ago and provides postcard views of Mt. Fuji from various angles.

*Mt. Komagatake Ropeway - Spend a total of 50 minutes including a 7-minute cableway ride up to the peak from Hakone-en. Discover the spiritual Hakone Shrine Mototsumiya (original shrine) that nestles at the mountaintop.

Then you'll take the Hikari or Kodama bullet train to Kyoto Station. (120-180min.)

 

9:30 - 11:15 p.m.

Arrive at Kyoto Station. You will be taken by taxi from Kyoto Station toyour hotels. An English-speaking staff member will escort you to the taxi, but will not ride along in the taxi.

You'll check in the hotel in Kyoto.

Day 4: Kyoto - Nara - Kyoto

8:00 - 8:40 a.m.

We'll pick you up at your hotel in Kyoto. (See the detail on "Pick up" page.)

All transportation on this tour is by bus. In some cases a taxi may take you to the bus terminal to board a tour bus from there.

You will enjoy visiting the follwong places:

* Nijo Castle (UNESCO World Heritage site)

- It was built in 1603 as Kyoto residence of the Ieyasu Tokugawa, the fast shogun of the edo government. ***On Tuesdays in January, July, August, and December, Nijo Castle is closed. The tour will visit Ryoanji Temple instead.

* Kinkakuji Temple (UNESCO World Heritage site)
- It is a famous structure of Muromachi period. Kinkakuji means golden pavilion and literally it is covered by gold.

* Kyoto Imperial Palace
- It had been served as the Emperor’s palace until the capital was moved to Tokyo. ***On Mondays (and Tuesdays when Monday is a national holiday), we'll takeyou Kitano-tenmangu Shrine instead.


Lunch: a Japanese-western-style buffet lunch

 

After the lunch, you will proceed to Nara. Here's the visiting places.

* Todaiji Temple (UNESCO World Heritage site)
- It is one of the largest bronze statue in the world. The Great Buddha is National Treasure.

* Nara park
- It is called “Deer Park” because you can see many deer in the park. There are about 1.100 deer.

* Kasuga Taisha shrine (UNESCO World Heritage site)
- It is located in a forest and contains four buildings, all of which are National Treasures.

* Nara Nagomikan

 

6:30 - 7:30 p.m.

After sightseeing in Nara, you'll head back to Kyoto.

Day 5: Kyoto - Tokyo

5:00 - 6:10 p.m.

Enjoy your free day at your leisure until departure.

We will meet you at the hotel and transfer you to Kyoto station by a motorcoach.

6:00 - 7:00p.m.

Then you will ride the Nozomi bullet train to Tokyo station. (140min.)

9:00 - 10:00 p.m.

After arrival in Tokyo, we'll take you to your hotel by taxi.

Day 6: Tokyo - Narita Airport


Enjoy your free time until departure. (Departure time is announced to your hotel on the day before departure.)

 

We'll take you to Narita Airport and tour concludes upon arrival.

This tour is a combination package made up from multiple Sunrise Tours plans. 

2.

An English-speaking interpreter guide or English-speaking assistant will accompany each tour from the meeting point until the tour end. Furthermore, please note that the interpreter guide or assistant is generally different for each tour. 

3.

Customers with late-night arrivals or departures at Kansai International Airport may need to wait at the airport for several hours as the shared taxi service will be unavailable. 

4.

This is a special tour for international visitors. Please understand that residents of Japan cannot make bookings for this tour. 

5.

Airport pick-up & drop-off is available at Haneda Airport or Itami Airport. In such cases, please inform us when booking. 

6.

If the minimum number of participants is not met by 20 days prior to the tour date, the tour may be cancelled. 

7.

[Luggage Transport Service]
Luggage transport service is not included. The amount of space for baggage on trains is limited, so please leave suitcases and other large pieces of luggage at your hotel (A service charge may be required, please check with your hotel).

On this tour there is no service to send luggage from Tokyo to Kyoto or vice versa. When making a booking, please be sure to select the same hotel for every night of stay in each city.

[Mt. Fuji & Hakone Tour (Day 3)]
1. Hakone Komagatake Ropeway may be omitted due to heavy traffic. The tour will not be cancelled and refunds will not be issued for this reason. 
2. If the Fuji Subaru Line to Mt. Fuji's 5th station is blocked due to road surface freezing or accidents, the tour will be taken to the highest elevation point possible. No alternative destinations are planned when the tour reaches beyond the 1st station. 
When the tour has to turn back at the 1st station, or when the Fuji Subaru Line is completely blocked, the tour will visit Fuji Visitor Center or Lake Kawaguchi. Please note that an alternative itinerary may also be omitted depending on road conditions. 
3. Due to weather conditions, Mt. Fuji may not be visible even from the base. However, the tour will not be cancelled and refunds will not be given for this reason. 
4. Mt. Fuji's 5th station is typically 10 to 15 degrees Celsius colder than Tokyo. On tours from autumn to spring, please bring a coat and other warm clothing. 
5. If the Lake Ashi Cruise or Komagatake Ropeway are not running due to inclement weather or maintenance, or as a result of road or organization circumstances, they may be omitted and replaced with one or more of the following:
Hakone-en Aquarium, Hakone Ropeway, Owakudani Valley, Hakone Pirate Ship, Narukawa Art Museum, Hakone Checkpoint, Lake Kawaguchi Cruise, Lake Kawaguchi Ropeway, Itchiku Kubota Art Museum, Hakone Shrine, etc., but this will not be used as a reason to cancel the tour, and refunds will not be given for this reason. 
6. Please note that the tour will not be guided to the seasonal sightseeing spots if the cherry blossoms are not at their best viewing time, or if the tour cannot proceed to Komagatake Ropeway due to road or organization circumstances. 
7. GPS-enabled audio guides are available on this tour in Chinese, Spanish, Italian, Thai, French, and Indonesian. Please make a request when booking if you would like an audio guide. There are a limited number of audio guides available, so it may not be possible to provide one for each participant. Also, no refunds will be issued even if the audio guide is unusable due to weak signal, device issues, Wi-Fi malfunction, etc. 
Please inform us when booking if you would like an audio guide. Requests made on the day of the tour will not be accepted. 
8. The arrival time to Kyoto may be considerably delayed depending on road conditions and other factors. The trip from Odawara to Kyoto may require a train transfer midway at Shizuoka Station or Nagoya Station. If so, a staff member will assist participants in transferring. If the tour runs late due to traffic congestion, etc, and misses the scheduled train, transportation from Odawara to Kyoto will use non-reserved seats on the Shinkansen, and participants may not be able to sit down.

[Kyoto & Nara Tour (Day 4)]
1. The Kyoto Imperial Palace is closed on the following days. As such, the tour will visit Kitano Tenmangu Shrine instead. 
(Mondays, Tuesday if Monday is a national holiday, May 14-17 for the Aoi Festival, New Year's holidays, and whenever there is an Imperial Household event).
2. The tour will visit Nishi Hongan-ji Temple instead of Kitano Tenmangu Shrine on September 25 and December 25. 
3. Nijo Castle is closed on Tuesdays in January, July, August, and December (Closed on the following day if Tuesday is a holiday.) If closed, or if the tour is during the year-end/New Year's holidays, Ryoan-ji Temple will be visited instead. 
4. During the Gion Festival (Sakimatsuri, July 15 - 16), drop-off service to Karasuma Kyoto Hotel and Hotel Nikko Princess Kyoto will be unavailable due to traffic restrictions. 
5. At Kasuga Taisha Shrine, the tour does not include entrance to areas requiring admission. 
6. Nara Nagomikan may be omitted from the itinerary if it is closed on the day of the tour, or as a result of traffic congestion.
