Baggage

One Way Trip Plan Your baggage will be transported by land from Tokyo to Kyoto. Each person will be allowed one piece of baggage. Additional baggage will require an extra fee of JPY 2,200 per item. Round Trip Plan Your baggage will be transported by land from Tokyo to Kyoto on Day 1 and Kyoto to Tokyo (Limited to hotels in Tokyo listed on page 43.) on Day 4 with allowance of one piece per person. Baggage transfer is available if you stay at (Limited to hotels in Tokyo listed on page 43.) in Tokyo. This service is not available for those who are not staying guests of these hotels. For the overnight stay in Hakone, we recommend that you carry a light overnight bag with you. For extra baggage, JPY 2,200 will be charged per item.

Stay at Gion Yoshi-ima includes 2 breakfasts, 3 lunches, and 2 dinners.

2.

(Remarks regarding the Mt. Fuji-Hakone Tour for Day 1)

1. When the Fuji Visitor Center is closed or if the tour is behind schedule due to traffic conditions, the Fuji Visitor Center may be skipped.

2. The road to Mt. Fuji 5th station sometimes closes due to heavy snows in the winter and the early spring. In the case the road closes, or if the tour is expected to fall behind schedule due to operation reasons, you will go to the highest possible point.

3. We recommend you bring a coat or other warm clothing during spring, autumn and winter.

4. We will not cancel or refund your tour if you are unable to see Mt. Fuji due to the weather conditions.

5. Although the Hakone Ropeway and the Owakudani Valley or Pirate Boat may be omitted or substituted for as a result of traffic and weather conditions or other operational reasons, the tour will not be canceled nor will the tour fee be refunded. In the case that one or both of the destinations are omitted, you will enjoy one of the following alternatives: Narukawa Art Museum in Hakone, Hakone Check Point, Cruise on Lake Kawaguchi, Lake Kawaguchi Ropeway, Hakone En Aquarium and Hakone Shrine. Your tour guide will finalize alternatives based upon careful consideration of tour logistics and other conditions.

(Remarks regarding Nara Afternoon Tour for Day 2)

1. At Kasuga Taisha Shrine, the tour includes the regular areas and does not include entrance to areas requiring admission.

2. If Nara Nagomikan is closed, the tour will visit another souvenir shop.

(Remarks regarding the Kyoto Morning Tour and Kyoto Afternoon Tour for Day 3)

1. Nijo Castle: On Tuesdays in Jan., Jul., Aug., and Dec., Nijo Castle is closed and you will visit Ryoanji Temple instead.

2. Kyoto Imperial Palace: On Saturdays, Sundays, national holidays and some other days, the Kyoto Imperial Palace is closed and you will visit the Nishi Honganji Temple instead. You are required to fill out a form (your name, sex, age, nationality), when you enter the Kyoto Imperial Palace.

3. Please inform us if your group consists of five or more Japanese people before the tour. If you do not informus of this information, your party may be refused entry to the Kyoto Imperial Palace.

4. During the Gion Festival (July 14-16), drop off service to Karasuma Kyoto Hotel, Nikko Princess Kyoto and Hotel Monterey Kyoto is unavailable due to traffic regulations.

5. During the Jidai Festival on October 22, Heian Shrine is closed to the public and will be replaced by Chishaku-in Temple.

6. Pick-up service from the Kyoro Hotel Okura, Karasuma Kyoto Hotel, Hotel Monterey Kyoto, and Nikko Princess Kyoto is not available during the Gion Festival(July 17) and the Jidai Festival(October 22) due to traffic restrictions.

(Remarks on Kyoto Morning Tour for Day 3.)
