Okinawa and Kyushu offer many historic treasures, modern cities,and natural beauties. Enjoy and relax at one of the most famous hot spring areas in Japan. We will visit Okinawa, Nagasaki, Mt. Aso and Beppu Onsen.

Day 1: Oct. 30 (Tue) Okinawa


You will check in your hotel in Okinawa.
A room is available from the reqular check-in time.  

Your hotel will be Sun Palace Kyuyokan or the similar one.

Day 2: Oct.31 (Wed) Naha, North side


You will have breakfast at your hotel.

8:30 a.m.

Enjoy sightseeing in Okinawa by a chartered bus.
You will visit to Okinawa Churaumi Aquarium and Ocean Expo Park. You will have lunch on your own.

* Okinawa Churaumi Aquarium and Ocean Expo Park
- The Ocean Expo Park is a large park on the tip of the Motobu Peninsula in northern Okinawa honto, which was built in 1976 to commemorate the Okinawa International Ocean Expo held there a year earlier. The park's main attraction is the Churaumi Aquarium. It is famous as the Japan's best aquarium.

After enjoying the sightseeing, you will return to your hotel. Your hotel will be Hotel Sun Palace Kyuyokan or the similar one.

Day 3: Nov.1 (Thu) Naha, South side


You will have breakfast at your hotel.

8:30 a.m.

Enjoy sightseeing in Okinawa by a chartered bus.
We will transfer you to Okinawa World, Gyokusendo Cave, and the ruins of Shuri castle. You will have lunch on your own.

* Okinawa World
- You can enjoy making Okinawa crafts. Okinawa World, also known as the Culture Kingdom Gyokusendo, is a touristy theme park about Okinawa culture. The park's main attractions are the Gyokusendo Cave, a crafts village and a snake museum.

* Gyokusendo Cave
-It is the longest of the many caves in the south of Okinawa island, and Japan's second longest. 850 meters of the cave are open to the public and feature spectacular stalactites and stalagmites.

* the Ruins of Shuri Castle
- A city district of Naha today, Shuri is the name of the former capital of the Ryukyu Kingdom. Shuri Castle (Shurijo) served as the administrative center and residence of the Ryukyu kings for several centuries, until Okinawa became a Japanese prefecture in 1879.

After the sightseeing, return to your hotel. Your hotel will be Sun Palace Kyuyokan or the similar one.

Day 4: Nov. 2 (Fri) Okinawa - Fukuoka


You will have breakfast at your hotel.

After the breakfast, leave your hotel for Naha airport by a chartered bus.

Leave Naha to Fukuoka on your flight. Arrive at Fukuoka Airport.

Enjoy your free time at your leisure.

Your hotel will be Washington Hotel Canal City Fukuoka or the similar one.

Day 5: Nov.3 (Sat) Fukuoka - Nagasaki


You will have breakfast at your hotel in Fukuoka.

8:30 a.m.       

We will leave a hotel, and transfer you to Nagasaki by chartered bus.

Enjoy visiting to Karatsu Niji no Matsubara, Oura Catholic Church, and Atomic Bomb Museum.

* Karatsu Niji-no-matsubara
- The pine forest is stretching like an arc of a rainbow along the Karatsu Bay. That is "Niji-no-Matsubara" of the doorway in karatsu. Terasawa Shimanokami Hirotaka,the first lord of karatsu Clan, started planting the pine trees on dune along the coastline for protection against the winds and tides.

* Oura Catholic Church
- Oura Catholic Church (Oura Tenshudo) was constructed in the last years of the Edo Period in 1864 for the growing community of foreign merchants, who took up residence in Nagasaki after the end of Japan's era of seclusion.

* Atomic Bomb Museum
- Hiroshima is a well known place as the first city suffered from an atomic bombing on 6 August 1945. The dome (“Genbaku dome” in Japanese) was the only structure standing in the area then. It was registered as World Cultural Heritage in December 1996, and symbolizes its wishes for everlasting world peace.

After the sightseeing, we will take you to your hotel in Nagasaki. Your hotel will be Hotel New Nagasaki or the similar one.

Day 6: Nov.4 (Sun) Nagasaki - Unzen - Shimabara - Kumamoto


You will have breakfast at your hotel in Nagasaki.

8:30 a.m.

After the breakfast, you leave your hotel for visit Glover Garden by chartered bus. Driving by Mt. Unzen, and taking a ferry from Shimabara port to Kumamoto port.

* Glover Garden
- Glover Garden is an opera air museum, exhibiting mansions of former Western residents of Nagasaki. It is located on the hill where Western merchants settled down after                       the end of Japan's era of seclusion in the second half of the 19th century.

* Unzen
- Mount Unzen is an active volcanic group of several overlapping stractovolcanoes, near the city of Shimabara, Nagasaki prefecture, on the island of Kyushu, Japan’s southernmost main island.

* Kumamoto Castle
- Kumamoto Castle was constructed by the Kato Clan in 1607. Half a century later, it was handed over to the Hosokawa Clan, which ruled the surrounding fief from there for over 200 years until the end of the feudal age.

After the sightseeing, we will transfer you to your hotel. Your hotel will be Hotel Castle Kumamoto or the similar one.

Day 7: Nov. 5 (Mon) Kumamoto - Mt.Aso


You will have breakfast at your hotel in Kumamoto.

8:30 a.m.

We will leave a hotel for Mt. Aso by chartered bus. Then enjoy visiting to Suizenji park, ropeway of Mt. Aso, Mt. Aso volcano museum, and Kusasenri ga hama.

* Suizenji Park
- Suizenji-Jojuen is a spacious, Japanese style landscape garden in Kumamoto,best enjoyed by scrolling along a circular path. It was built by the Hosokawa family in the 17th century.

* Mt. Aso ropeway ride and visit Aso Volcano Museum
-Mount Aso is an active volcano in the center of Kyushu. Its ancient caldera ranks among the world's largest, with a diameter of up to 25 kilometers and a circumference of over 100 kilometers.

* Kusasenri-ga-Hama
- Kusasenri-ga-hama is a grass covered plain with grazing cows and a few horses.

After enjoying the sightseeing, you will proceed to your hotel by a chartered motorcoach. Dinner is included at hotel. Your hotel will be Aso Villa Park Hotel or the similar one.

Day 8: Nov.6 (Tue) Mt. Aso - Beppu Onsen


You will have breakfast at your hotel.

8:30 a.m.          

We will leave a hotel for Beppu Onsen by chartered bus. Then enjoy visiting to Daikonbo Peak,

* Beppu in Oita
- Beppu is one of Japan's most famous hot spring resorts, producing more hot spring water than any other resort in the country.

* Daikanbo Peak
- Daikanbo Peak is one of the peaks of Aso northern somma, which is located north east of Uchimaki Onsen (hot spring).At one time, the peak was called Tomigabana (a nose seen from a distance), however the great writer Soho Tokutomi named the peak Daikanbo, due to the request of the Mayor Kojima of Uchimaki town in May of the 11th year of the Taisho Era (1922).

* Beppu Valley of Hell 
- The "hells" (jigoku) of Beppu are nine spectacular hot springs for viewing rather than bathing. They are presented to visitors in a rather touristy fashion, which might not appeal to everybody.

After the sightseeing, we will transfer you to your hotel. Your hotel will be Beppuwan Royal Hotel or the similar one.

6:30 p.m.

You have Japanese dinner at a hotel.

Day 9: Nov.7 (Wed) Beppu Onsen - Fukuoka


You will have breakfast at your hotel in Beppu.Then we will leave hotel for Fukuoka by a chartered bus. Enjoy visiting to Kunisaki Peninsula, Yabakei Gorgea,  and JUSCO (a famous department).

* Kunisaki Peninsula
- Projecting between the Suho-nada Sea in the Seto Inland Sea and the Iyo-nada Sea, the Kunisaki-hanto Peninsula is formed of large conical volcanoes including 731 m-high Mt.Futago in a northeastern part of Oita.

* Yabakei Gorgea
- Yaba-kei Gorge, situated in a northwestern part of Oita, is a grand gorge created through a lava plateau of the largest scale in Japan by the flow of Yamakuni-gawa River. Extending 36 km east and west and 32 km north and south, this huge gorge full of strange-shape rocks and stones is a spectacular sight.

* Dazaifu Tenmangu
- Dazaifu Tenmangu is the first and most important of several hundreds of shrines built and dedicated to the spirits of Sugawara Michizane, an influential scholar and politician of the Heian Period, who has later been identified with Tenjin, the kami ("Shinto god") of education.

After the sightseeing, we will transger you to a hotel, and then you have dinner on your own. Your hotel will be Washington Hotel Canal City Fukuoka or the similar one.

Day 10: Nov.8 (Thu) Fukuoka


Enjoy breakfast at your hotel.
Your room is available till regular check-out time.

The tour ends.

Rules and Restrictions

* Passengers with non-U.S. passports must obtain visa from Japan Consulate
* Passport must be valid more than 6months from departure
* Seats are limited.
* Price/Schedules are subject to change by Vendor
* Minimum 15 people are required to guarantee the departure

4.

Deposit and Final Payment


* A $300.00 NON-REFUNDABLE deposit per person will be required at the time of booking.
* The remaining balance is due 66 days prior to the departure.
* If reservation is made less than 66 days prior to the departure, a full payment is due at the time of booking.
* If remaining balance of payment is not paid within the above-required period of time, JTB USA, Inc. reserves the right to cancel reservations.

Cancellations/Changes

* In case of voluntary cancellation, the deposit remains non-refundable.
* Cancellation/deviation/change due to natural disaster, weather, war, civil unrest and order of government or immigration regulations applies regular rules below. JTB USA, Inc. will make possible efforts to minimize the penalty.
* If situations occur during the trip, any extra cost for additional arrangements will be the individual tour participant's responsibility

-31 – 16 days prior to the departure             50% of the total tour fee
-Within 15 days prior to the departure          100% of the total tour fee

* Changes up to 66 days prior to the departure can be accepted with a applicable fee based on the availability.
* Any change within 65 days prior to the departure is not permitted.

6.

Participation

* For the benefit of everyone in your tour group, JTB USA, Inc. reserves the right to accept or reject any person as a tour participant, and to remove from the tour any participant whose conduct is deemed incompatible with the interests of the other participants.
* We require a minimum of 15 participants to guarantee a tour with an escort. JTB USA, Inc. will notify participants of any changes 66 days prior to departure.
* We regret that our escorted tours will operate only when booked by a sufficient number of participants. We reserve the right to cancel any departure date that has insufficient demand. * There may be a possibility to operate tours with less than 15 participants. However, it may require changes from each original tour itinerary and price.

7.

Responsibility

* The tour participant agrees that neither JTB USA, Inc. nor its affiliates shall be liable for any damage, loss (including personal injury, death, and property loss) or expense occasioned by any act or omission of any supplier providing services, or any insurer or insurance administrator under the Travel Protection Plan, or of any other person, or any other situations beyond the control of JTB USA, Inc., including weather, natural disaster, war, civil unrest, and order of government or immigration regulations.
* We strongly advise that tour participants purchase the Optional Travel Insurance plans. Please ask one of our travel consultants for more information.
