Traveling With Pets

*Each country has its own regulations governing the import/export of live animals.


Pets Traveling In The Cabin Pets Traveling As Checked Baggage
-Carry-on pets are NOT ALLOWED to/from Hawaii or Transatlantic/Transpacific destinations or to/from Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Uruguay and Venezuela.
-Cats and dogs are the only types of pets accepted on American Airlines.
-Dogs and cats must be at least eight (8) weeks old for travel.
-The one way fee is 125USD per kennel
-The maximum size for cabin pet carriers is 19" long x 13" wide x 9" high. Soft-sided pet carriers such as Sherpa bags may exceed these dimensions slightly because they are collapsible. Animals must be able to stand up, turn around and lie down in a natural position in the kennel. Soft-sided pet carriers are accepted as long as they are constructed of water-repellent, padded nylon with mesh ventilation on two or more sides.
-A pet kennel counts as either a passenger's one carry-on bag.
-Only one pet kennel per ticketed passenger may be accepted for travel in the cabin. The kennel may contain two (2) dogs or two (2) cats but they must be the same species, at least 8-weeks old, and the pet and container can weigh no more than 20 lbs. combined.

-The one way fee is 175USD per kennel
-The maximum size for checked kennels is a series 500 kennel with the following dimensions: 40" long x 27" wide x 30" high.
The maximum weight of a checked pet and kennel (combined) cannot exceed 100 lbs.
-A maximum of two checked pets per passenger is allowed.
-Dogs and cats must be at least eight (8) weeks old for travel. If two animals are traveling in the same carrier, they must be the same species (two cats or two dogs, not one of each) and the pet and container can weigh no more than 20 lbs.

-Your pet must be at least 8 weeks old.
-The one way fee is 200USD per kennel.
-Continental can transport dogs in "Giant" crates/kennels (700 series) whose dimensions do not exceed 48" L x 32" W x 35" H (121 cm X 68 cm X 89 cm).
-You can transport a total of two kennels per flight.
-Two pets of the same type may be allowed in one kennel, for example two dogs or two cats. They must be small enough to fit in one kennel provided they are compatible and must be of the same species and size.
-The certificate must be issued by a licensed veterinarian within 10 days of transport.
-Carry-on pets are NOT ALLOWED
-Assistance dogs or such are permitted to be carried in the passenger cabin free of charge when they are traveling with their owner and the owner is entirely dependent on the assistance dog or such for mobility.
-We accept the following live animals (domestic pets).
Dogs, cats, small birds (that eat seeds, fruit and insects), rabbits, ferrets, hamsters, marmots, squirrels, chinchillas -Dogs and cats must be at least 8 weeks of age to travel.
(French Bulldogs and Bulldogs are not accepted.)
-The one way fee is 175USD per kennel.
-Carry-on pets are NOT ALLOWED
-Disabled passengers accompanied by dogs, such as seeing-eye dogs or hearing-ear dogs, are able to travel together under animals in cabin service.
-ANA accepts carriage of dogs*, cats, birds and other animals. Only one dog, one cat or a pair of birds per one container. -The one way fee is 300USD per kennel.
-3 passengers with pets per flight.
-Carriage of pets in the aircraft cabin is not permitted, with the exception of service dogs. -Available only for cats and certain breeds of dogs.
-Pets - together with their containers - will be treated as excess baggage and charged accordingly.
-United may accept your dog, cat, rabbit or household bird. -Your pet must be at least eight weeks old and fully weaned before traveling. -Fully weaned dog or cat (minimum 6 months old, 1 per carrier) -Domesticated rabbit (1 per carrier) -Fully weaned puppies or kittens (minimum 8 weeks old, maximum 2 per carrier)
-Domesticated household birds (maximum 2 per carrier)

-Kennels may not exceed any of the following dimensions:
Hard-sided: 17.5 x 12 x 7.5 inches (44 x 30 x 19 cm)
Soft-sided: 18 x 11 x 11 inches (46 x 28 x 28 cm)
-United may accept your dog, cat, rabbit or household bird. Some other pets, including dogs of the pit bull breed, hamsters and guinea pigs, may travel as checked baggage only. -Your pet must be at least eight weeks old and fully weaned before traveling -Each checked kennel may contain up to: 1 dog or cat; 2 puppies or kittens (minimum 8 weeks old/maximum 6 months old); 2 household birds or 2 rabbits, hamsters or guinea pigs.
-The one way fee is 250USD per kennel
-Continental can transport dogs in "Giant" crates/kennels (700 series) whose dimensions do not exceed 48" L x 32" W x 35" H (121 cm X 68 cm X 89 cm).
-Kennel size is sturdy and sufficient to allow your pet freedom of movement, so it is able to stand, lie down and turn around freely.
-If your pet is traveling via cargo, the certificate should be issued no more than 10 days before departure.
